Shadow Syndicate Guild Rank!

Great job everyone, it was a long road but we finally finished up Naxxramas 25. If it wasn't for that damn dirty Thaddius we would have had it sooner.

Really though great job EVERYONE...we may not have been the first to clear it but we did it our way all in house which we think speaks highly for the guild.

All we have now is Malygos and the Sartharion + Drakes to work on, and it looks like we will have some time before Ulduar comes out to work on that still!!

Congratz SS!!

Sincerely,

Shadow Syndicate Leadership

Modifications to the Loot System and Raid Tracking

This would only be for 25 man raid loot in regard to how the system works. The 10 man raids loot would work as it has been with blue to epic, and the round robin on loot so everyone can get a shot without 1 person taking everything simply for getting to go in under geared compared to others. 10 and 25 man raids count toward the 'Raids Attended' count. Raid attendance is being tracked as of 2/15/08. Also as a note if a 25 man raid is cancelled due to lack of sign-ups, the people that did sign will get credit for 1 raid attended since we can only take in 10 if we had to cancel.

Part 1:
On Blue to Epic : Make it Lvl 80 Blue to Epic. Lvl 80 Blues are Heroic level so it at least says that person did something other than just level to get that item.

On Epic to Epic : Those with Epics roll, those with under lvl 80s also roll. This would give us the chance to upgrade the lower level people but it also doesn't give them the straight handout of the high level epic item. And it gives the more active raiders a chance rather than standing by watching items go away without them getting a chance. Normal loot rules apply here in the sense of you get 1, then you wait till others get one also before you can win again unless its given to you by default.

Part 2:
Based on Raid Attendance for 10s and 25s do the math to figure up (Total Raids Attended / 5), this number would be the number of 'Need' rolls that the character has aquired. These 'Need' rolls can be used to allow the 'character' (this is important that its the character not the player) to roll as if they were replacing a main spec lvl 80 blue item even if they have a Epic equipped. You can only win 1 item per raid rolling this way, after that its normal loot rules.

So for every 5 raids you attend, you get a better chance to upgrade an epic. This isn't as blatant for gearing those that attend as say a DKP system is, but it does give the people that show up a lot a chance (eventually) to improve their odds of winning an item they really want, but also the people that don't attend as often will soon get the same improved chances as those that raid more often.

The reason I said that the 'Character not the Player' was important is because we would track it per character. So someone like say Elexcix/Elexcie who goes it about every raid wouldn't rack up crazy 'Need' rolls. They would be seperated by his characters, tracked in a database I built. Also the option to use a 'Need' roll would be declared right when the roll is announced for Blue to Epic. If you don't win when you use a 'Need' roll you don't lose it, but you can only win with a 'Need' roll once per Day. I suggest day since like on Wednesday you might hit Sarth, Naxx, and Archavon....so once a day. Also for 'Raids Attended' its by Day. If your in the raid for Sarth/Naxx you get 1 raid attended. If they go to Archavon and you drop and another person joins they get to add 1 raid attended also.

I think by making the 'Blues' = Heroic level gear it should make people work at it harder and keeps the brand new 80 from being able to instantly pick up 25 man blues without competition.
